On June 7, 2016 the voters of the County of Orange established a Campaign Finance and Ethics Commission. The purpose of the Commission is to provide oversight of the County’s Campaign Reform Ordinance, Lobbyist Registration and Reporting Ordinance, the Gift Ban Ordinance and Sections 6 and 9 of the County Code of Ethics and Commitment to Public Service (“Code of Ethics”). Ancillary to these purposes, the Commission will ensure that ethics training is provided to newly elected and appointed County officials in those areas for which the Commission has training responsibility.
